Are You Eligible to Enrol?

Floreat Park Primary School is a local intake school. This means priority is given to families who live within our catchment area.

To enrol, your child must:

  • Reside within the school’s local intake area (please see below)

  • Be of compulsory school age (Pre-primary and above), or

  • Be eligible for Kindergarten in the year they turn 4 (by 30 June)

  • Hold a valid visa, or be an Australian citizen/permanent resident

If you are outside the intake area, you may still apply; however, placement is not guaranteed and will depend on available space.

 Note: Kindergarten applications officially closed on 25 July 2025.⁣ However, we are still accepting late applications where places remain available. Please submit your application as soon as possible.

 What You’ll Need

When submitting your enrolment, please include copies of all the following documents:

Student Identification:

  • Child’s birth certificate or passport
  • Latest Immunisation History Statement (via Medicare/AIR)—must state ‘up-to-date’ and be dated within 2 months of your enrolment application.

Proof of Address (in intake area):

  • Current utility bill (within 3 months; mobile and internet bills will not be accepted)
  • Rental agreement or rates notice

Other (if applicable):

  • Visa documentation & proof of date of entry into the country
  • Court orders or parenting arrangements
  • Any medical or support documents we should be aware of, including letters of diagnosis.

You can submit your application in person at our front office or email all documents to:

What Happens Next?

Once your application has been received:

  • You’ll receive a confirmation from our team.
  • Applications for Kindergarten will be reviewed after the closing date.
  • You’ll be notified of the outcome via email.
  • Successful applicants will receive a full enrolment pack with orientation details and next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I still apply if we’re moving into the catchment soon?

Yes – please include proof of your upcoming move (e.g. signed lease, settlement date) with your application

Q: What if we miss the deadline?

Late applications may still be accepted for Years PP-6.  For Kindergarten, places may be limited after the closing date.

Q: How do I get my child’s immunisation statement?

You can download this through your Medicare online account, Express Plus Medicare app, or call the AIR on 1800 653 809

Q: Where can I find information about calculating school age?

Q: I have more than one child to enrol – do I need seperate forms?

Yes – a seperate application form must be submitted for each child  you wish to enrol.
