The Banksia is Floreat Park Primary School’s year book. It has been produced annually for over 15 years and is a highly valued Floreat tradition. The Banksia is enjoyed by students, staff and the community; showcasing the vast range of activities that have taken place throughout the year. The school office and library retain copies of the Banksia going back to its inception and students love looking back through it, seeing past students and remembering previous teachers and events.
Each year, every child produces a piece of writing, drawing or photograph for the Banksia and their work is printed in full colour alongside work from specialist teaching areas such as Music, STEM, Italian, Art and Physical Education. The Banksia also showcases events such as athletics carnivals, swimming, excursions, incursions and other special occasions.
Every Year 6 student gets a free copy of the Banksia in their leaver’s pack at Graduation.
For the rest of the school, you will only be able to order copies of the Banksia through the Floreat Park Primary School Online Uniform Shop. Orders are open now and will close on Friday 1 November. If you have a child in Year 6, they will get a free copy but for any other copies you must order and pay through the uniform shop. (Please note this is a change from previous years when each family who paid their P&C contributions received one copy)
We’ve taken 265 orders from parents – these will be delivered to classrooms before the end of term.
